As a weather spotter it is our job to volunteer reports to the public to remain safe and calm throughout the weather weather months. As winter approaches the New York area quickly, sunny breezy skies along with wind gust are in the recipe. Stormy weather patterns, snow forecast in higher mountains, and strong winds in mountainous areas can become hazardous for vehicles. As the large pressure from Southern Canada brings pristine fall like weather to the eastern half of the nation, cold fronts and scattered showers near the Great Lakes are under way. Snow showers are also expected in higher elevations of New England bringing below normal temperatures. With warm and dry conditions continuing in the Gulf Coast region and Deep South through Tuesday, unsettled weather will surface cyclogenesis in the Midwest states resulting in numerous showers and some storms.
Be mindful of the development or strengthening of cyclonic circulation in the atmosphere when low-pressure is in the area that umbrella up cyclone like circle processes. The initial stages start out as cold intensified air that begins to flow cold-air into warm air sparking waves inside of the oceans. The cyclonic circulation begins an is later occluded into the front of an air stream which rapidly develops into a explosive cyclogenesis~winter storm.
