As a military child who's Dad served in the United States Airforce out of New Orleans as a Military Police Officer, Airspace Operations are a necessary tool after a Hurricane. Especially since there were 3 Hurricane's in the Caribbean's over the weekend. Flights that are scheduled June 1 through November 30 must under go certain procedures to prepare the public with latitude/longitude points due to affected facilities impacted by the Hurricanes. In the event a missioned operation or unscheduled mission is not listed due to a hurricane reconnaissance, a flight is subjected to receive priority for hurricane and customer teleconferences. Remember to stay abreast of travel at least 1-2 hours prior to departure times and remain in the zones during this dreadful Hurricane season! Remember sound waves are an important communication device for forecasting or generating weather thousands of miles away during Hurricane season. The eyes of the storms can be measured by the winds and water using infrasound signals called microbaroms. Just ask all of the Retired People of Hurricanes! #hurricanesafety
